Emilio P Fiaschi (Italy, 1858 – 1941) Gilt/carved alabaster woman figure on bronze elephant. Mounted on quartz base. Signed on base. Fiaschi was a native of the Tuscan town of Volterra, and attended the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence from 1883-1885. An accomplished sculptor of marble and alabaster, he gained a reputation in the competitive Florentine art community for his technical skill and mastery of sculptural composition.
