Monumental, Yuri Kuper (United States, France, born 1940) Painting of a bible. Mixed media on board. Signed lower right. Sight size: 39 x 62.5 inches. Overall size: 50.5 inches x 74.5 inches. From 1957 to 1963, Kuper studied in the Fine Art Department, at , Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. For a time, Kuper was a book designer, working for the publishing house Young Guard. In 1967, he became a member of the Artist Union in the USSR. He was awarded the Scholarship of the Yaddo Artist Colony in Saratoga Springs in 1973.
