Kalman (Koloman) Deri (1859 – 1940) “The Gallant’s Arrival”. Large oil on canvas painting. Signed lower left. Deri studied at the Vienna Academy with the Austrian historical and portrait painter August Eisenmenger (professor from 1872), who also founded a private school for the training of young talents in the monumental painting. After his studies, Kalman (Koloman) Deri worked as a genre and still life painter in Munich.
